I’m Mara — born in ’93 in a small town in Latvia, raised on long winters and longer drives. I picked up my mother’s camera at fourteen and never really put it down.
Most of what I shoot is film — portraits of people I’ve just met, weather doing something it shouldn’t, the light in a room at exactly the wrong hour. I print everything by hand. I’m slow on purpose.
what’s usually in the bag — a Leica M6, a brick of HP5, one good lens, a thermos, and far too many rolls.
