( TEMPLATE GUIDE )

Start here.

Everything on this template is native and editable — no code, no plugins. If you can double-click, you can customize it. Swap in your name, your photos, your words.

This page is just for you. Delete it before you launch (Pages panel → right-click → Delete).

Delete the blue “Buy this template” button (bottom-left, on every page) before you publish — it links to this template’s store, not yours.

( STEP BY STEP )

The 5-minute setup.

1

Your name — double-click the big handwritten name on the home page and type yours. Do the same for the small wordmark at the top-left of every page.

2

Your email — on Contact, replace hello@maravitola.com with your address. It’s also in the home page’s contact section.

3

Your photos — double-click any photo, then Replace in the right panel (or drag an image onto it). The black-and-white look is applied automatically.

4

Your links — update the socials on Contact and the “buy a print →” links on Shop to your own URLs.

5

Publish — hit Publish, top-right. You’re live.

( THE BASICS )

Change anything.

Swap a photo

Double-click it → Replace, or drag a file on. The grayscale + contrast treatment stays, so colour photos become B&W to match.

Edit any text

Double-click and type. Headings, captions, buttons — it’s all live text.

Change the ink colour

The signature blue is #2436C2. Click one blue element → right-click → “Select all with same colour” → pick a new one. They update together.

Change the fonts

Gloria Hallelujah is the handwriting; IBM Plex Mono is the structure. Right-click any text → “Select all with same font”. Keep it to two.

( NAVIGATION )

Your pages.

Each page is in the Pages panel, top-left. Click a name below to see it live.

Photoarchive

Journal

short essays — each opens a full post

Contact

( THE SIGNATURE )

The contact-sheet hero.

The home hero is laid out like a photographer’s marked-up proof sheet. Each grease-pencil mark is its own layer sitting over a frame — drag it onto a different photo, or delete it. The marks flick on when the page loads (the one animation on the site).

( THE RECIPE )

Fonts & colours.

Two fonts do all the work: Gloria Hallelujah (the handwriting) and IBM Plex Mono (the structure). The palette:

Ink — handwriting · #2436C2

Ink-black — body & links · #221C15

Body grey · #5F5A50

Muted labels · #8C8678

Paper — background · #F6F2E9

Red china marker · #C0392B

Yellow chinagraph · #C79A22

( BEFORE YOU PUBLISH )

The checklist.

☐ Name swapped everywhere — hero + the wordmark on each page

☐ Email swapped — Contact page and the home contact section

☐ All demo photos replaced with yours

☐ Shop “buy” links + social links point to your URLs

☐ Series & Journal: index cards renamed to match their detail pages

☐ Page titles / SEO updated — Pages → each page → Settings ⚙ → Metadata

☐ Custom domain connected — Site Settings → Domains

( TIDY UP & GOOD NEWS )

Two last things.

Optional cleanup — safe to delete in the Pages / CMS panels (none are visible to visitors): a stray “404-2” page, a “_jx” journal route, and an unused Journal CMS collection.

Already handled for you:

✓ SEO — every page has a title + description

✓ Headings — proper H1/H2 structure for search

✓ Alt text — demo photos have it; add yours when you swap

✓ Responsive — desktop, tablet & phone layouts all built

( CONTENT & THE CMS )

Adding & editing content.

Your posts, photos and prints live in the CMS — the database icon in the left sidebar — not on the canvas. Open a collection, add or edit an item, and the site updates itself. No layout to touch.

Journal

the Journal collection — title, date, cover, excerpt & body

Photoarchive

the Photos collection — caption, date & photo

Shop

the Prints collection — title, spec, price, buy-link & photo

Series

the Series collection (the cards). Each gallery page itself is edited on the canvas.

Everything else — the home hero, about, contact and the series galleries — is edited directly on the canvas, as normal.

That’s everything. Drop in your photos, your name, your words — and hit Publish.
